Finance, Politics And The Weapons Industry.

A Profitable Industry that Dictates Politics.

It is estimated that yearly, over 1 trillion dollars are spent on military expenditures and arms worldwide.

Sometimes legally purchased weaponry is re-sold again and again for illegal purposes adding to the figures below.

Arms-money1

ARMS INDUSTRY

Over a trillion per year  ($1,000,000,000,000). (without illegal sales)

Figures for 2006

Total                           $1,158,000,000,000                                 2.41 %GDP

Total USA                 $   528,000,000,000        Largest           3.99 %GDP

Total UK                    $     59.200,000,000        2nd largest     2,49 %GDP

Total France             $     53,100,000,000        3rd largest      2.38 %GDP

The above are official figures, the truth (in this trade of death) is anyones guess.

Seems like a good business to be in and a good reason to start a war.

Uranium tipped weaponry, was being used in the gulf war, and others. Seems again, being the cynic that I am, like a good way to get rid of are uranium problem here.

On July 13, 2002, the New York Times also reported that Vice President Dick Cheney's former employer, the Halliburton Company, is "benefiting very directly from the United States' effort to combat terrorism." From building cells for detainees at Guantanamo Bay ($300 million) to feeding American troops in Uzbekistan, the Times reported, "the Pentagon is increasingly relying on a unit of Halliburton called KBR, sometimes referred to as Kellogg Brown & Root." KBR is the "exclusive logistics supplier for both the Navy and the Army, providing services like cooking, construction, power generation and fuel transportation."

And then there's the Carlyle Group, described by the The Industry Standard as "the world's largest private equity firm," with more than $12 billion in assets. A Washington merchant bank specializing in buyouts of defense and aerospace companies, the Carlyle Group stands to make a substantial sum of money from a global "war on terror." Former U.S. President George Bush, Sr. - whom current President Bush is known to consult about policy matters almost daily - works for the firm. According to the Baltimore Sun, so do former Secretary of State James Baker III and former Bush Sr. campaign manager Fred Malek. Former Republican Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci (a college roommate of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld), is the Carlyle Group's chairman and managing director.

The bin Laden family, hailing from Saudi Arabia, is also heavily invested in the Carlyle Group. On Sept. 27, 2001, the Wall Street Journal published an article entitled "Bin Laden Family Could Profit From Jump in Defense Spending Due to Ties to U.S. Bank." The "bank" in question? You guessed it: the Carlyle Group.

The Two Faces of Dear Donald.

2000: director of a company which wins $200m contract to sell nuclear reactors to North Korea
2002: declares North Korea a terrorist state, part of the axis of evil and a target for regime change

Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, sat on the board of a company which three years ago sold two light water nuclear reactors to North Korea - a country he now regards as part of the "axis of evil" and which has been targeted for regime change by Washington because of its efforts to build nuclear weapons.

Mr. Rumsfeld was a non-executive director of ABB, a European engineering giant based in Zurich, when it won a $200m (£125m) contract to provide the design and key components for the reactors. The current defence secretary sat on the board from 1990 to 2001, earning $190,000 a year. He left to join the Bush administration.

Mr. Rumsfeld was involved in lobbying North Korea on behalf of ABB.

Mr. Rumsfeld also pushed for aspartame to be introduced, against very strong medical advice, partly because it is a registered poison.

arms-politics3

Politics in General.

Rumsfeld is only one of many who need to be watched very carefully, and although Blair is no longer prime minister of the UK, he did enough to show that he is also one to be watched in the future carefully.

At the top of my list of past and present cronies would certainly be:

Bush senior, so heavily tied up in the profit from arms scenario.

Dear Bushy Baby himself. The biggest puppet there is.

Conan Powell. So heavily embroiled in war-mongering.

Blair, for obvious reasons.

And an ex baddy, Henry Kissinger.

And Conceita Rice. One just has to have a bad feeling about her.

It is all a bit too obvious.

I would say to Cameron, that why is he not complaining more, about no referendum, if he is not complicit in some way.

Why do not more of our politicians speak out, are they all gagged and powerless, or otherwise complicit.

I do know that some of them would like to, but surely, is it not the time to speak out, even though you might lose your jobs.

I would have thought that the public, in the UK and the US are awake enough already to understand when one is speaking the truth, as very few believe politicians now.

The problem must be being discussed already in private.

“look honey, what can I do, if I say anything, the public will feel I should have acted sooner, and they will vote me out, and even if the public accept it was not partly my fault, the whips will get me out, so what can I do, and anyway, you do get a great lifestyle darling, so lets leave it as it is, for now”

Lets face it, a lot of these otherwise good men, started out with good intentions, however, the good ones did not seem compliant enough and were dropped, leaving only those who

either just wanted to reap the rewards of their predecessors, or just allowed themselves to fit into the system, or often both.

Many of course, as most common in the US, just brought them selves into the political system, knowing full well the rich rewards.

Politics is all such a shambles. And from the public’s point of view, it is becoming so obviously corrupt, that major frustration is looming.

The dam will burst, is has to, if only politicians would begin to speak the truth, and not act as obvious puppets, which they are.

Although I have a deep loathing of politics as it is, I believe there are a few in the UK, who would love to speak out, and are teetering on the edge, I believe the public are so fed up currently that they are ready for that, and would respect any politician who did.

I personally and all of you, have all been treated like a complete imbecile for years, and I do not believe they realise how many there are out there who think like me.

arms-4

Can you hear the rumble of the humble?

Let’s be serious here, with the profits gained from having wars from armaments, gives the very corrupt at the top, a very good reason to manipulate a war.

Add that to all the other industries they control and if you are really that cold, to an almost unbelievable extent, (which is why nobody believed it possible) then it must be such a good life, for them, even at the expense of so, so many lives and maimed personnel, victims and families.

The profits are mammoth, and the control even better.

Once you can control the media, the politicians, the drugs and GM companies, etc, etc. anything is possible, but it has all gone too far, too obvious, too dangerous a game, which is why I am expecting worse in the near future.

It is to worryingly obvious, and to retain there grip on things, as the populace is waking, is going to be hard, very hard.

Even if I am astounded by the coldness of some of these people involved, I am not someone who believes that we are all evil, far from it.

I would urge those involved in the slime of politics to raise your head out of the slippery slime and speak out and begin to live again, being shackled by fear is not living, and you will be mightily surprised how many people are waiting to hear you.

Speaking out after all will be your greatest protector. The time has past when you would have been deemed an enemy of the state by the public, they will only hear honesty with a sigh of relief.

Oddly, the more you raise your head the greater your protection will be, from those you fear, simply play them at their own game.

The most important people in the world, are the humble.

those with the greatest future are the humble.

those with the greatest majority are the humble.

and for the future of the world, the greatest people are the humble.

The humble are numbed, no longer,

the humble are laughing at you, out loud,

the humble are waking and seeing it all,

the humble are breaking out of your cloud.

Can you hear the rumble of the humble?

Arms-iraq5

The Dirty Bombs.

In 2001 Iraq told the United Nations that it will scrap its claim for compensation for damage done to the country by depleted uranium weapons in exchange for a massive clean-up operation.

This was said to be an audacious move by Saddam Hussein, however, Iraqi officials refused to comment, but senior sources confirmed the request was "under active consideration" by the UN.

From the sound of it, Saddam had a very good point, which was not denied by official forces.

We used the pretense of Saddam having nuclear bombs, which of course he never had,

to bomb Iraq with our own very dirty booms.

That seems about right, the usual misinformation at work.

We are told one thing, when actually the opposite is far nearer the truth.

Time after time I am coming across this, and that is sickening enough, without the fact that they are rewarding the same double crossing useless civil servants with special salaries and pensions that alienate the rest of us.

It appears our governments seem to exist and specialise in misinformation.

I am surprised they can still lift there hands with all of our blood they have on them, lets just hope they spend more time in the washroom trying to scrub them clean.

That move by Saddam brought pressure on American and British governments to reveal all the information available on the secondary effects of the uranium-tipped weapons, but in the end to no effect.

After 9/11, they had to capitalise on the atrocity, and one of the scare campaigns launched by the Bush administration is that terrorists would seek to detonate "dirty bombs" in American cities -- conventional bombs surrounded by radioactive wastes intended to sow panic and dread.

This was, as we have seen before, one of their own plans being blamed on someone else,

the original proposal for "dirty bombs" was made during World War II by the US military.

They had considered dropping nuclear waste on Japan but this idea was abandoned when it became clear that the atomic bomb designs could effectively kill more people quickly.

While depleted uranium is not capable of undergoing atomic fission (i.e. in a nuclear weapon), it has chemical properties that are useful for the military. Uranium tipped shells are extremely dense (uranium is the heaviest naturally occurring element), which makes it useful to destroy tanks and similar structures. Uranium also bursts into a hot flame upon impact, which has the side effect of generating lots of radioactive dust.

They were used with ‘great successes by British armoured units in both Iraq wars and in the Kosovo and Afghanistan campaign.

They are due to be phased out, but there use over a long period of time should be highlighted, simply because the long term health problems they caused to our own troops as well as the countries they were used on, are far from over.

They have long argued that the shells can be directly linked to leukaemia, kidney damage and lung cancer and is also one of the causes of Gulf war syndrome.

France, Spain and Italy all claim that soldiers from their armies who served in Bosnia and Kosovo, where the rounds were used by Nato forces, have contracted leukaemia and other cancers.

The number of depleted uranium rounds in the British Army is ‘classified’ information, but is estimated to be several thousand, sufficient to last for many years.

arms-uranium6

It is estimated that up to 2,000 tonnes of depleted uranium may have been used during the recent war in Iraq.

In the Kosovo war in 1999, Nato forces used 31,000 rounds tipped with depleted uranium. About 18,000 rounds were also used in the alliance's previous campaign in Bosnia.

There were protests when they were tested in the Solway Firth in 2001.

Local people near the facility want the tests stopped amid growing fears about the health risks posed by the shells.

Thousands of depleted uranium tipped shells has been test fired from the Dundrennan range into the Solway Firth in the past 20 years.

Public concern at the testing has grown in recent years following allegations about a possible link between exposure to depleted uranium and cases of cancer among British troops who served in the peacekeeping force in the Balkans.

Nato warplanes dropped 10,000 rounds of depleted uranium ammunition in Bosnia in 1994 and 1995.

Soldiers from several countries, including Britain, Italy, Portugal and France, have fallen ill with what has been dubbed Balkan Syndrome.

The claims of 2,000 tons of depleted uranium being dropped in Iraq is said to have been grossly exaggerated by the authorities, however this estimate is accepted as fact by other humanitarian organisations.

While the Pentagon maintains that spent weapons coated with the low-level, radioactive nuclear-waste are relatively harmless, Peterson notes that U.S. soldiers have taken it among themselves to print leaflets or post signs warning of DU contamination. "After we shoot something with DU, we're not supposed to go around it, due to the fact that it could cause cancer," said one sergeant requesting anonymity.

"Depleted" uranium is a term that falsely implies that the material is harmless or at least less toxic. In reality, "depleted" merely means that the isotope Uranium-235 has been reduced.

One reason why so-called depleted uranium is used by the US and other military powers is that it is an abundant waste product that is incredibly costly to store or otherwise get rid off.

When natural uranium is enriched for nuclear power or weapons purposes, a large amount of uranium-238 with reduced (depleted) uranium-235 content is left over.

This material is not useful for power or weapons purposes, and there are tons and tons of it left over.

It was also possible that using these weapons systems is a form of intentional low-level genocide against the peoples of the Middle East, since the birth defects being created by uranium weapons interfere with the long term survival of these populations.

It does raise the question, what civilised country would put there own troops at risk, and what did any ‘so called’ responsible government imagine would happen to the depleted uranium left behind?

At the very least, the moral judgement, of depositing our very poisonous waste products on another country is highly questionable and so obviously wrong.

It is also causing an enormous risk in any diplomatic relations we may still have with these countries, and this total abuse of human rights, may explain why the states and the UK are so hated by certain fractions.

Which ever way you look at it, there are only two explanations.

Either our experts and governments are just incredibly irresponsible and just plain stupid, or there was a far more sinister plot behind there actions.

I will leave it up to you to decide.
