The Environment

The environment appears to be on everybody’s mind, and in the news permanently, however, very little seems to be actually achieved, and we are still doing far more harm than good in general, and not enough to begin to repair the harm that has already been caused over the centuries.

We are all very fond off talking about the ‘greenhouse gas scenario’ but still very little is actually being done to correct that aspect, and that is a ‘talked and known about scenario', so what chance do other equally important issues have.

The problem still remains that we do not fully understand the ecological and environmental damage that has been caused, partly because we never understood the subtleties and interactions that go on in and throughout creation.

Life is a string of one element depending on another to survive, and we have already destroyed not just thousands of species, but also destroyed the environment in which they survive which itself is made up of different elements.

This has created huge holes in our current environment, of which many were very beneficial to ourselves, or more indirectly, on other forms of life that are further down the chain, but still had or has an impact on us.

We are only just beginning to understand energies, only just beginning to take in that inanimate objects are also important to us, and have there own vibrations.

We can comprehend that oil or coal is of use to us, and notice when it runs out, but we do not comprehend the effect on life when these things do run out or become depleted in environmental terms.

We see that we may have to ‘grab’ another form of energy, but that is as far as our current understanding goes.

We have very little understanding of the true impact our developments have on this ‘hidden’ environmental world.

The highly important strings of energy, known as leylines have also suffered enormous hurt.

These energies are highly important to our own survival and harmony, and yet they have been dissected, taken off course and been completely disrupted.

Every new road, housing development, change of the natural water courses or new water course, every new chemical we plough in to the land, or ‘doctored’ plant we sow, all have a detrimental effect on the environment, which with understanding could be balanced, but we do not understand or have the knowledge of how to do it.

This balancing is all about energies, and the leylines, which currently are highly imbalanced.

Geopathic Stress is causing huge problems to mankind, every new development causes huge shock waves to the environment, and our own system, and this comes out in the form of stress, headaches and migraines, but this is our system just showing and picking up the imbalances it causes to the leylines that is essential to our own well being.

In our search for more readily available fossil fuels, we are literally undermining ourselves, by creating further geopathic stress, by tampering with nature and not putting anything back, and at the same time, altering the earths own natural leylines.

Man’s understanding can be and is very limited, especially when greed comes into play and all effort to understanding the real situation is suddenly blinkered by the prospects of a so misunderstood ‘richer’ existence.

North American Indians and particularly talked about Hopi’s as well as other cultures realised this importance of how life interacted, which is why they documented the dates of certain developments, like the American railroads and the fall of the buffalo and changes in there lives in there calendar.

The true sadness perhaps here is that a culture or cultures, that did at heart understand this important interaction was sacrificed in the name of ‘progress’, when it was and should be recognized as such, to be simply a very backward step.

It was however sadly seen by those who did not comprehend the wider picture, to be progress.

It is very easy to use the well documented demise of the North American Indians, but this has happened to many more civilizations, with local, far more worldly and earthly knowledge than we have today, as they were colonised and by the marauding conquerors and missionaries.

Many of these civilizations have simply sank without trace throughout our history, in the same way that many species of life has simply been destroyed taking there own particular knowledge with them.

Animals are becomingly increasingly undermined by our actions, we are in our own ignorance and greed, altering and destroying the world that they would happily exist in, we are taking away there own right to live the life they choose.

It must be said that we are turning out to be the ‘dumb’ animals, by going down a path that we do not understand, when animals and nature appear to be far more at one with there surroundings.

One has only to look at Dolphins and whales to understand the turmoil they are facing, because of us. They understand nature and are attuned to it far more than humanity is.

If humankind were an intelligent species, we would understand the importance of nature, and the balance that is essential to be in harmony with nature.

Our understanding of animals, or at least a few of the animal species is slowly creeping back.

However, we are still showing no respect for the few we can partly recognise as intelligent, and meanwhile we carry on the slaughter.

We still pride ourselves for our thinking capacity, and so we should, but so far we should not be proud of what we have achieved with that ability to think.

The understanding of animals is just a first part of this learning process, and we have a long way to go with that.

Every animal, however small has a part to play, for our own harmony and survival.

Once we begin to comprehend how important the smallest animal is to us, then we may begin to understand how important the earth is.

How important all elements on earth are to us.

That will be a huge step forward in the true progression of humankind, and a big step forward to us all, animal and the elements on earth as well, because we are all one and the same, and one can’t survive without the other.

Everything on earth has energies.

Even down to the stones, minerals and crystals, our basic structure is in many ways the same.

We have not begun to understand how amazing and complex our world is, or how we are connected to the rest of the Earth and all things on it.

The human has put itself, or will find itself in a very difficult position, it will be humbling experience, but an essential one if we are to survive, and we will survive.

We have acted like termites, eating away at the foundation on which we survive, but for no purpose at all other than to blindly seek our own destruction.

We have been blind, but that is through our ignorance and not our fault, we can’t at the same time be too judgemental about what has been occurring, and ‘all in the name of progress’.

There is so much wrong, and so much to learn, but we have the ability to put things right, to reverse the process, to come out of the dark ages.

It will be hard, but is essential, and it will happen, one can see it happening.

We are naturally being given the chance to see things differently, we must all take it in, and begin to act on it.

It is a fascinating time in our Earth times, a real step forward is coming, a new dimension is being added, and we must be brave enough to see it, to take on board all the changes it will make, and to see those changes as positive ones.

Our purpose at this exciting time, is too learn to understand and encompass all around us, and understand and begin to comprehend natural energies so that we can balance the damage done.

We ourselves have forgotten to live with nature, as part of it.

We have run roughshod over Nature itself and that has been our biggest downfall, but now at last the tide is about to change.

Coal.

We have disturbed the very fabric of balance of the earth in so many ways; mining deep under the surface is just one way we have disturbed the subtle balance of nature on a grand scale.

It has come to my notice recently, that when we bring coal from deep within the earth, that we are not only causing a major growing problem, but that it also shows possible clues at to how the earth evolved in a simple sense.

The coal dust tips that line the tops of the mountains in so many valleys in South Wales is one of these problems. 

I will explain what is happening there first and then explain my theory.

The waste product from coal, the coal dust was put into mammoth tips that have completely disfigured the tops of the mountains in huge swathes of countryside in the valley areas of South Wales.

Millions upon millions of tons have flattened the tops of these mountains, and little thought at the time went into what the consequences might be, and as everybody’s lived in the area depended on coal, nobody really cared.

This was a huge blight on the landscape long after the mining finished, and now slowly, the problem to most people has seemingly gone away, as the tips have settled, and are beginning to grass over.

Everyone remembers the Aberfan disaster, when the local school was swamped when a waste tip, became waterlogged and slid down the valley. This is unlikely to occur again as the tips have settled and are often lightly covered in vegetation.

However I believe this very settling process is again going to cause problems.

In the UK and outside of the Welsh valley areas are three tips which self-combusted and are burning from within, and will continue to burn for many years, but why is this happening or important.

Firstly, I do not believe these are isolated cases, as I believe the heating up process is carrying or will start in many of these tips, and if I am right it could be natural disasters waiting to happen for many of the areas affected by coal mining.

I say natural, as it is a natural process, even though the mining was un-natural for the environment.

When the tips were made, nobody gave any thought to what might happen, even though there were parallels beneath the earth in the mining industry.

What is happening is that now that the coal dust has been missed with oxygen it is more dangerous than before and potentially a threat.

As the coal tips settle over years, the compacting itself is causing the tips to heat up.

When this is combined with the oxygenated coal dust, this creates a dangerous mix, which could see a lot more tips catching fire.

This fire burns slowly but with huge intensity and heat.

The results could be further unsettling, causing the coal tips to become unstable, with consequences similar to Aberfan, only this time with hot coal dust.

Dangerous gases being emitted, and some of these gases are heavy and could seep down into the valleys.

And lastly occasional explosions, perhaps from pockets of gas being trapped within the tips.

One has to understand that these tips are so mammoth in proportion, that the heat generated will turn the insides into something similar to the molten liquid one gets from a volcano.

I have a special affinity with the South Wales Valleys, and suggest a careful watch is placed on these tips, for this heating process and for any gases being emitted.

The problem is that nobody wants to disturb the tips in any way now that they have greened over, and nobody will want to take responsibility for such a potentially huge problem.

I am sure the potential of the problem is recognised by those in the industry as it is happening elsewhere, but it took many years to put all the coal dust up on those mountains, and it will take many years before the natural landscape will be seen again. If ever.

Careful monitoring would at least keep an eye on the situation, but to my knowledge none is being carried out, and the problem is being neatly put aside.

All I ask is that the potential problem is looked into and recognised.

Chemical Principles relating to Coal tips in Wales.

Pressure.

Pressure = heat.

That is the basis of the problem, and the higher the tonnage, the greater the pressure.

Pressure in this case is causing compaction, as the pressure gets greater, the higher the compaction.

If one looks at the principles of a diesel engine, the same principle applies.

The same thing happens, in this case, pressure creating combustion.

Put chocolate in a vice, and it will become liquid, simply because pressure creates the heat to melt the chocolate.

Combustion.

This combustion in a diesel engine and in the possible case of the coal tips is very related.

The heat created by the pressure warms up the coal dust in the tips, with the greatest heat at the bottom.

Then a further natural chemical reaction at a certain temperature takes over.

Some oils are self-heating, and self reacting, and will self-combust.

If one pressurizes and heats them enough, and this pressure also displaces any oxygen, they have a runaway self heating reaction, and coal dust is one.

Coal dust is a natural material that will has a naturally very high energy content.

Dust is also highly inflammable.

Calorific value is a key here, the higher the calorific value, the greater the energy within.

The composition of gunpowder is as follows:

Gunpowder = carbon, ammonia and salt peter.

Coal dust contains carbon and ammonia.

Salt peter is the catalyst in gunpowder, but in the tips this catalyst is replaced by straight pressure.

This is perhaps not entirely true, when the bedrock is limestone, which the coal tips are placed on in South Wales.

Saltpeter minerals, are made out of limestone, and the bedrock in Wales is limestone.

Take an old bridge, a railway bridge made of engineering bridge.

You will see white streaks, powder running down the bricks.

This powder is saltpeter, from the lime mortar.

This can be used to create explosives.

However if this is in town, the saltpeter is contaminated.

But in country areas, such as Wales the environmental pollution is lower; therefore it will have a higher purity, and combustibility.

Because of the pressure in the tips, and the similarity to the diesel engine, the coal tips could easily atomise and explode.

Diesel engines run on vegetable oil, which is similar to coal dust in many ways.

Experiment.

Soak a rag in vegetable oil.

Put it in a bag, very tight and air tight sealed, so no air space in it.

Stick it somewhere warm, over 40 degrees, and it will self ignite.

Wire wool is made out steel, steel is iron with carbon content.

Ball of wire wool, set fire to it.

Coal is a heavier version of crude oil.

Water.

If you are introducing water, you are introducing oxygen.

Water has to be brought into the equation, for two opposite reasons.

Introducing water at the wrong time and you add oxygen, which would obviously aid combustion.

However, with less water the heat in the tips will build up quicker.

As the tips grass over, and vegetation sets foot, it acts as a thermal blanket, keeping the heat in at night, making the problem worse.

With global warming, the less rainfall, the less cooling is being carried out.

What water there is, is evaporating off the vegetation and not having any cooling effect therefore, the coal tips will be getting dryer and dryer, and hotter and hotter due to the effect, and of the weight of the vegetation and trees.

The main issue is the compaction.

This is why the centre of the earth is molten.

Hit a nylon pipe a few times with a hammer, and see how warm it gets.

We must always remember: Pressure = heat.

This is how a bullet works, putting a small amount of pressure on a small area.

This creates a runaway chemical reaction.

So imagine the combined effect of the pressure in the coal tips.

At the top of Mount Everest, where the air pressure is low, water will boil at 70 degrees.

Because it does not have the weight of the atmosphere in it.

At sea level it will boil at 100 degrees.

This is just to demonstrate the weight of air, and the effect of weight and pressure.

However the weight of coal dust in the tips, is far far greater than the pressure of air.

Testing.

One could test the heat in the coal tips by drilling holes and putting thermo couplers down.

As you drill, if the material is getting denser, due to compaction, then it will be harder to drill through.

Gases.

Gases produced would be, amongst others, sulphur, i.e. potentially, sulphuric acid.

Burning coal = acid rain.

The heating would release sulphur from the coal, which would react with gases in the atmosphere, and this would produce sulphuric acid, which is acid rain.

The other problem with Wales is that the tips are on solid bedrock.

Therefore the pressure will be even greater because the bedrock is solid and the coal dust is often of very high calorific value.

Summary.

To summarise I have come to this conclusion.

The main features about the South Wales Valley coal tips is the sheer weight in volume of tonnage placed on a solid bedrock of limestone, placed on top of the mountains.

It is the positioning of these tips that makes it such a precarious situation, with many mining towns built beneath them.

The coal dust in South Wales being some of the highest grade coal and therefore also of a high calorific value just adds to the worry.

Any global warming also compacts the problem, due to less rainfall.

The fact that they are now greening over creating a thermal blanket, also adds to the problem, and the fact that the local atmosphere is relatively unpolluted just adds to the danger, if one includes the worry about saltpeter.

This is not a problem that will ‘grow over’, far from it, it is an example of one of many manmade problems that man has to put right.

The World.

We should perhaps look at the parallels within the earth, when looking at the coal tips.

If one can imagine a gaseous mass being brought together by gravity pulling it all in, then think of that as the earth in it’s early formation.

The effect of gravity and radiation is vastly misunderstood and underestimated, it effects all things and the balance between them is crucial to all life.

They are the male and female, the positive and negative, the different polarities, or whatever way you personally want to put it that holds all life together.

One of them can be in the ascendancy, before switching around, but on the earth, neither gravity or radiation is allowed to be the ascendancy by more than the somewhat strange ratio of 1200 over 1000 and vice versa.

Mathematicians may do what they want with this figure, but the above is the true figure.

The switching of the ascendancy is important to the earth, as amongst other things it controls how humans think, as one side of the brain consequentially takes over the ascendancy from the other.

This is part of the new way of thinking that people are experiencing currently as I write this and which some people are finding it difficult to cope with.

Going back to the earth and it’s formation, imagine as gravity pulls all this gaseous matter together, that as it settles, and compacts the same thing happens on a grand scale, as in the coal tips.

It heats up, to the point where internally it gets very molten.

It is still settling naturally and in places as can be seen erupting from the volcanoes etc.

This I believe is where we get the strange rock formations and inner turmoil so graphically portrayed on the earth.

The process has of course slowed down and become far more settled over eons of time.

New Thinking.

A radical and new way of thinking including new forms of natural technology have to be allowed to come through in order to deal with the poor state of the environment properly.

This technology is not being allowed to come through currently with the current patent system in place.

Currently there is too much money involved in patents, both to take out a patent and to keep up, and immediately a patent is taken out, it is in the hands of the big boys, complete departments, within companies who try to see how they can break the patent.

A new thinking of a common goal needs to emerge, and this will not happen without people really waking up, and this may take several minor catastrophes before this happens, which may be too late for some species and a lot of people.

In the mean time, damage that we may never understand is being caused.

Individuals and industry will have to learn to work together before any real advancement is made, but the signs are already there.

This process will naturally occur, as people think differently, using the other side of the brain as described earlier.
