Meditation. Ways and Types

 

Meditation is a very personal exercise and you will probably develop your own ways, unless you follow a strict code, and follow guidelines borrowed from Yoga or Buddhism etc.

Meditation is about getting to know yourself, the inner you, your higher consciousness and learning to communicate with your higher self and your guides.

In simple terms it is a quiet time of contemplation, a time perhaps for deeper

subliminal thought.

Meditation can be taken while you are completely conscious, and later when you get deeper, semi consciously.

You can meditate anywhere, in the smallest room of the house, (the toilet), where you can lock yourself away, on the bus, as a passenger in the car, or ideally, in the quiet of your house or bedroom.

Meditation is an easy exercise and an essential tool for everyday living, once you get used to it, the rewards get stronger and your inner calmness will increase and start to show through.

 

There are rules simple ones, the main being that you must be serious and not to take it too lightly. For the same reason, before I start to meditate and after I settle down, I personally say to myself, and repeat I three times, 'I ask for protection at the highest level'.

You should if possible; set aside a time of the day, purely for meditation but this is not always possible.

Also, if you have had deep meditation, you should give yourself time to recover afterwards, and make sure your aura, is fully back in place being driving or rushing around, as you might otherwise feel a little disorientated.

Meditation can be simply lying on the bed in the quiet and clearing your thoughts, or It can be having a major 'vision' or a time when guidance or advice is given 'very' clearly.

 

It is quiet common, that when you lie down in the quiet on your bed, you will notice balls or globes of energy, that flit or swirl around the room. 

They are normally highly coloured, in rings, and are quite small.

They are energy balls, or spirit balls, and if I see these, I know I will have a good deep mediation.

The peace you will find at times like these, is quiet extraordinary.

Don't be afraid to meditate or feel you can't, everyone can and should.

An exercise in meditation

 

This is a basic meditation exercise and will take approximately 20 to 40 minutes, depending on your patience and how you feel and how much you take from it.

 

Step 1.

When you are in a peaceful and relaxed frame of mind, lie down on the bed on your back, and make yourself comfortable, either with your hands down your side or gently lain on your stomach.

 

Step 2.

When you are completely comfortable start by asking for protection.

Say out loud, quietly but with feeling, 'I ask for protection at the highest level' and repeat these three times.

Your words should almost repeat themselves, almost echo back at you, if you are in the right frame of mind, and serious enough.

 

Step 3.

Imagine yourself on a lovely day, taking a walk.

Feel the warmth from the sunshine on your face, and imagine yourself at the bottom of a hill.

Look around and feel the green grass and the trees and breathe in the air.

Look for the path and the stream.

Take the path you see in front of you, and follow it to the stream, feel yourself lightly walking, freely and easily.

 

Step 4.

When you reach the stream, spend a minute or so looking at the water, flowing freely.

Look up at the hill, and see the path clearly, that is where you are going.

 

Step 5.

When you are satisfied carry on following the path up through the meadow beyond.

Look at the wild flowers on the way, and take in the birds and butterflies.

Imagine a bee, gently going about it's business collecting nectar from the flowers.

 

Step 6.

As you carry on through the meadow, and leave it, imagine a now steeper hill, follow the path up the hill. Look up to the top of the hill, because that is where you are going.

Types of meditation

 

There are many types of meditation.

I meditate on the bed, lying with my legs outspread, and my arms wide to my side with my palms facing up personally feel more receptive and giving like this, and to me it is a preparation and a ritual.

It is often said that you should fix a time of day and stick to it, but I find for me, this would be difficult with my sometimes strange lifestyle.

I also believe that one should be able to meditate when one most needs to.

 

I have often felt very close to spirit, and often see balls of multi coloured light floating around the room.

These are energy or spirit balls, and are very comforting and reassuring, certainly nothing to be frightened of in the slightest.

 

Group meditation is very common, but not for all.

For some reason this is easier and predominantly practiced by women, but certainly the energy raised can be very clearly felt.

 

Meditation can be short or long, and anywhere.

I often go into a quick meditation when under stress, or before facing a stressful situation.

This may be just a form of calming down, or going through the process I use in asking for protection.

For calming down, I use a simple but effective breathing exercise.

I breathe in deeply then hold my breath in for 4 secounds then release fairly quickly.

I continue until my breathing becomes deep but placid and calmer.

 

Protection is an important part of any meditation, however long or short, and I always ask for protection, and repeat it three times.

Remember, you are when in meditation, laying yourself open, and it is always sensible to make sure your company or guides are alert, and of the highest available to you.

 

Also state of mind is important, and one should only allow yourself to slide into a deep meditation, if one is calm or composed.

 

If one follows these simple rules, one can’t go far wrong.

A Warning

 

Before I get too far into this book I must express my concern about those who do not take it seriously or those who are not of sound mind.

By it’s very nature it will attract the more sensitive of you, and sometimes that same sensitivity has been caused by a major happening or shock in your life.

It may have been caused by years of abuse, either as a child or an adult in which case it is quite likely to all re-emerge as you open up your sensitivities.

 

It is for this reason I must ask for your caution, and to ask you to think about it carefully.

 

It is all to easy to get too bogged down in this parallel world and to be swamped by unwelcome and mischievous spirits all too anxious to get through.

This is not only stupid and careless but dangerous.

 

Do not be impatient to hear voices, as you open up, you must see yourself as a flashing beacon, saying come and talk to me, I am open to everyone.

But simply you must not be, however beguiling it may sound.

 

You want those only from the light, and those who wish to help only.

 

Be strict with yourself and with your guides.

You must always be in command, in control.

Do not let any old voice speak to you whenever they like, be strict about times, and who you speak to.

 

One must always keep yourself grounded, to this earth, and to your physical and material world.

I am not trying to put anyone off, which is the last thing I would wish to do.

I am merely trying to explain that with caution and the right attitude, patience is certainly important in progressing more quickly.

Rush and you will land on your backside, and wish you had not.

 

I have seen to many people hurt really quite badly, and it has taken a long time to get them back on there feet, simply because they did no have the right attitude and rushed at it, and went out there with there beacon flashing and received nothing but wrongdoers.

 

Exercise caution, and stick to the rules, and take firm control and all will be well.
